Once again, DHS and the FBI are sounding the alarm, warning active-duty, and retired, LE and military personnel not to expose on-line profiles openly.
ISIS spokesman, Mohammad al-Adnani, said this in late September:
“Kill the disbeliever, whether civilian or military, for they have the same ruling. Both of them are disbelievers.”
For one, I take him at his word. They are serious.
We are not!
DoD, USA, USAF, USCG, USMC, and USN installations (and USN ships) all maintain elaborate and revealing websites that plainly tell our enemies just about everything that they would want to know about personnel and units. Ditto for most LE departments, federal, state and local. We’re doing much of their work for them!
However, being secretive, personally and institutionally, is toilsome and only of limited usefulness.
Individual readiness and resolve are still the keys to victorious living.
So long as we, distrusting our own people, continue in the foolish delusion of “enforced impotence,” among military personnel and at military bases, no amount of electronic precaution will effectively prevent, nor dissuade, the next series of murderous attacks by Islamic terrorists.
Unarmed soldiers and unloaded weapons are a reflection of a corrupt state of mind: Professing “warriors,” perpetually unprepared to do battle. For one, when I hear, “Oh, don’t worry. You’re safe here,” I reach for my pistol!

Plan, prepare, and train accordingly, so that you and yours may live confidently and victoriously in perilous times. There is neither confidence, nor happiness, in denial, willful ignorance, inadequate preparation, and ‘learned helplessness.”
Who constantly “fear to fail” will, in the end, fail without even trying
