18 Sept 20 âWhen one person makes an accusation, check to be sure he himself is not the guilty one. Sometimes it is those whose case is weak who make the most clamor.â Piers Anthony The new âWitchcraftâ 430 years ago, my ancestors in present-day MA, when they wanted a annoying political opponent done away with, would simply accuse him or her of being a âwitch!â âProofâ of witchcraft consisted mostly of a series of preposterous, unsubstantiated rumors and various other uncorroborated narratives from the mouths of assorted lunatics and/or paid accusers. But, it was all that was necessary! The person so accused would be arrested, beaten to within a inch of his or her life, and shortly thereafter put to death is a very unpleasant way! People participating in this injustice were smug, self-righteous bigots interested only in preserving their own positions of authority, so they could continue to lord it over the powerless populace. Today, in our upside-down world, âWitchâ has been replaced with âRacistâ The same smug bigots, lusting only after political power for themselves, accuse all who criticize them of being âracistsâ As before, no proof is necessary! Who value and defend their Second-Amendment rights as American citizens are all âracistsâ Who believe in individual responsibility and accountability are likewise âracistsâ Who argue that violent criminal activity like looting, arson, vandalism, rape, and murder is wrong and needs tobe stopped are âarch-racists!â âRacistsâ are denigrated and held in contempt by the liberal media and leftist politicians alike, some of whom suggest that racists should be overwhelmed and murdered by mobs of their acolytes, and that such violent mayhem is âjustified,â indeed holy and righteous! As a civilization, we havenât come very far in 430 years! âNeither let us be slandered from our duty by false accusations, nor frightened from it by menaces of destruction, nor of dungeonsâ .
