Last weekend in PA, my Instructors and I taught a Defensive Urban Rifle Course.
Our students brought a variety of military rifles, mostly M4s with RDOs, but we had one FAL, and one VHS2, equipped with an LPVO.
We all used “normal-capacity” magazines!
I observed, “At a public range in how many other countries could any, other than government employees, be doing anything close to this?”
Of course, the answer was “None”
The USA is unique among nations, present and historical, and I wanted all of us to take a moment and contemplate this!
Imagine a government that actually trusts its citizens with private, anonymously-owned serious weapons!
Most governments, and most people in government, are far too paranoid and despotic to ever even consider such a thing!
And even today, the paranoid and despotic among our own politicians and bureaucrats (aka: leftists) work, and have worked, tirelessly to get rid of all guns, except those that protect them, taking as their “exemplar” every tyrannical government that has ever existed.
Tomorrow, “Independence Day.” we celebrate the fact that, at least thus-far, we free Americans have successfully held-back these freedom-hating traitors.
