Vehicle Defense:

We just finished a two-day Vehicle Defense Course down here in FL. Our “prop-car” was a Jaguar, of all choices!

Students brought both rifles and pistols, and we did many drills fighting from within, and around, the car. We also practiced getting in and out quickly, and in the correct sequence..

Driveways and parking lots are among the most dangerous places one might find himself in this civilization. Sitting in a stationary vehicle, in a parking lot, while not paying attention to your surroundings, is an unsafe activity indeed. Not recommended!

Fighting from within a vehicle with a rifle, even accessing the rifle in the first place, can be a daunting task, particularly in low-slung, “chic” vehicles. Dealing with seat-belts alone can be frustratingly slow and awkward.

In any event, our prop-car, now full of bullet-holes (some intentional, some inadvertent), made its exit from the Range about the same time we did, and all evidence of our weekend extravaganza was thus dispatched.

This is the kind of training I like to do, with experienced Operators, who regularly go armed and know how to run guns. This is training for real fighting, the kind of desperate fighting we’re going to see more of as our civilization continues to decline. The more errors and gaffes we correct during training, the fewer we have to deal with when we’re fighting for our lives and the lives of our family members.

There is a tinge of urgency among my students, as there is in me. We only hope we’re training hard enough, fast enough!

“Gunfighting has a strong biological use. We do not have enough things that kill off the weak and stupid these days. To stay alive as an armed citizen, a man has to be either quick with his wits or with his hands, preferably both.

It’s a good thing!”
