Last Thursday, a teenage school shooter, who broke-into an elementary school in Bend, OR and murdered four, was subsequently shot dead by the father of two children who were enroled at the same school, incisively stopping this murderer before he could do any more harm. The hero-father used the pistol he was legally carrying concealed. In this school, by doctrine, there were no armed teachers, nor staff, nor was there an armed SRO assigned to the premisis.
The murderer entered the school by using a pump-action shotgun to blast his way through locked glass doors.
Yet again, we see glass doors and other “symbolic barriers,” customarily used in schools and businesses, easily breached via gunfire. It is common knowledge that these symbolic barriers are mostly cometic!
Yet again, we see “school officials” who planned security around “feel good,” “politically-correct” theories.
Yet again, we see armed citizens carry the day.
Yet again, we see the leftist media reflexively denigrate the legitimacy of privately-owned and carried arms.
And so history will repeat itself, yet again!
