The Privileged Class!
When leftist politicians say ARs are the ‘preferred weapon of criminals,” so therefore must be banned from private possession by “ordinary citizens” (the very politicians who propose such things predictably, and quietly, make an exception for themselves, of course), it is akin to saying:
“Fords, the preferred car of drunk drivers”
It is a lie, and a contemptible insult to our intelligence!
I’ve lived long enough to know that the moment neo-Marxists manage to pass a gun law, it will pathetically fail.
The same politicians will then say “we didn’t go far enough” and will prepare for the next round.
It will never be enough!
Remember when the “Saturday-night special” was solemnly declared to be the “preferred weapon of criminals?”
In the decades since the end of WWII, I’ve witnessed countless laws passed that purported to “regulate” my rights as a sovereign American citizen (read that “privileges” in the eyes of leftist politicians).
The net effect has been an unrelenting increase in violent crime.
That is, and was, by design!
In NYC, “ordinary citizens” are forbidden from acquiring and/or wearing bullet-resistant garments, but Democrat politicians have exempted themselves, of course.
That makes it pretty obvious how much they care about you!
At the Federal level, “bipartisan” politicians are now proposing the use of federal dollars to bribe state legislators into passing “red-flag” laws, designed to arbitrarily confiscate guns from innocent American citizens who have never been convicted of, nor even charged with, any crime.
Under “red-flag” laws, innocent citizens are precipitously disenfranchised, denied any species of due process, denied a hearing, all as the result of unsworn, uncorroborated, uninvestigated, arbitrary speculation on the part of virtually anyone!
A murky, confusing new “federal offense” of “gun trafficking” is invented.
Who teach their children about guns on a shooting range may suddenly become “federal felons”
In Canada, the PM (Treadue), speaking for leftists in this Country, has solemnly declared that privately-owned guns can never be used for self-defense!
But, guns used to defend him are all okay, of course!
We can see where this is all going!
“What is so appealing about feudalism, that so many free citizens of an educated commonwealth like ours love reading about and picturing life under hereditary lords? Why should the deposed prince or princess in every clichéd tale be chosen to lead the quest against the Dark Lord?
Why not elect a new leader by merit, instead of clinging to the inbred scions of a failed royal line?
Why not ask the pompous, patronizing, ‘good wizard’ for something useful, such as flush toilets, movable type, or electricity for every home?
Given half a chance, the sons and daughters of peasants would rather not grow-up to be slaves.
It seems bizarre for modern folk to pine for a way of life our ancestors rightfully fought desperately to escape!”
