“Flashmobs” and “Newspeak”
“Newspeak” is a term coined by George Orwell in his classic novel, “1984.”
Newspeak represents “language rules” designed to force conformance with ideological dictates of “The Party.”
It severely restricts vocabulary and is specifically intended to suffocate a person’s ability to think and articulate dangerous “subversive concepts,” such as:
1) Personal identity
2) Personal creativity
3) Individual political and economic freedom.
4) Disputation of “The Party’s” infallibility
Such concepts are criminalized as “thoughtcrimes”
Orwell may have missed the date by forty years (more or less), but in 2022 we’re seeing nearly identical Democrat-promoted “language rules,” now forcibly imposed (on pain of expulsion) upon defenseless students, and upon both public and private employees, at all levels.
Case in point:
“Flashmobs” and “mostly-peaceful” riots
Flashmob robberies are now occurring regularly in both the UK and USA. Retail business are raided, vandalized, and virtually cleaned-out of valuable merchandise by ruthless mobs, as employees are physically attacked when they try to interfere. Destruction and losses are enormous, and many suffer injury.
Yet, local police are ordered by leftist Democrat mayors not to respond, because these “mostly-peaceful” riots are officially considered “non-crimes,” no matter how destructive.
We can only speculate what other forms of criminal violence, theft, and vandalism will soon be excused, apologized for, and similarly labeled “non-crimes,” so long as those harmed are all small business-owners, entrepreneurs, capitalists, “kulaks,” and others who don’t vote for Democrats.
Very Orwellian indeed!
So, don’t worry about violent riots. There is no such thing! Thanks to enforced Neo-Marxist Newspeak, they are now “mostly peaceful protests,” and you better not dispute that, if you know what’s good for you!
Substitute “Communist” when you see the term, “woke.” Similarly, replace “political correctness” with “tyranny,” and what you read about our civilization will begin to make sense!
“Don’t you see that the whole aim of Newspeak is to narrow the range of thought?
In the end we shall make thoughtcrime literally impossible, because there will be no words with which to
express it.”
From an internal discussion at the “Ministry of Truth” in George Orwell’s 1984
PS: JRB tried to create (and empower with virtually limitless authority) his own “Ministry of Truth” at the federal level recently, but received so much push-back, he dropped the idea, at least for now!
