Monday’s headline:
“Northeastern University students demand answers after a slew of violent events near campus (Boston, MA), and are insisting that the school do more to protect them”
Naturally, no specifics on what “do more” means!
Boston, MA is a typical liberal, crime-ridden sewer (by design), and with regard to the above news report, we are treated to an immediate bevy of left-centric talking points that are as predictable as they are laughable!
The University’s “Vice-President of Communications” regurgitates the usual weary boilerplate platitudes:
“We recognize the close proximity of these violent crimes ‘is concerning’” But no worries, because the University will “keep the Northeastern Community informed when such incidents occur”
Chief of the campus PD further contributes:
These violent attacks are “random,” so we’re to conclude that students should “feel better” when they face a “merely random” lethal attack! The chief also reminds us that there are plenty of CCTV cameras (that no one is monitoring)
Of course, these predictable “buzz-words” and phrases accomplish nothing!
And also predicably, an effective individual security plan is never mentioned.
“Feeling empowered” is just more empty rhetoric when you lack tools and training that actually make you “powerful”
Demanding that someone else “make you safe” is as half-witted as it is delusional, as is expecting “someone else” to care about you more than you care about yourself. University officials are smugly confident that they will keep their cushy jobs no matter how many students are murdered!
On the contrary, incisive individual security plans (particularly when such plans involve personally-owned and carried guns) will always offend leftists, as leftists desperately want you utterly dependent upon them and the hollow “security” they dubiously purport to provide (but cynically know doesn’t exist).
Remaining in harm’s way and taking no substantive measures to protect yourself, haplessly exposing yourself to ever-increasing personal risk, keeps you in the “victim role” rather than moving yourself out of it.
Leftists are counting on this harmful self-delusion (that they shamelessly promote)
perpetuating itself forever
After all, “victims” keep leftists in business!
