Canada following New Zealand, Venezuela!
Naive Canadian gun-owners who “played the game“ and went-along with power-hungry leftist politicians and dutifully “registered” their guns, are now discovering those smiling leftist politicians lied, as leftists always do!
The sole reason for cynical “common sense” legislation, like registration of guns, is to set the stage for future forcible confiscation. For Canadians, that dark “future” is now!
Canada’s self-labeled “liberal” government is about to ban from private ownership a vast array of previously-legal guns, virtually all self-loaders. New prohibitions will be made public, maybe as soon as this week!
Shortly to be banned from private ownership:
AR, Ruger Mini-14, SA M1A, Sig MCX, Robinson Arms XCR, VZ58 (Kalashnikov), Beretta CX4, et al
Canadians will be required to “turn-in” their registered guns, never to see them again, or government agents will come to their homes and take them by force, imprisoning their former owners in the process!
Canada’s Public Safety Minister has drawn-up a list of firearms that he is recommending be banned from private ownership in Canada, and the Prime Minister’s final approval is imminent.
The list does not include handguns, but the Safety Minister declared that his government will soon legislate new “powers” for municipalities to enact all-embracing handgun bans.

Curiously, this new arbitrary resolution of the part of Canada’s ruling liberal elite is ostensibly in response to the 18-19 April 20 shooting spree in Nova Scotia, that left 22 dead, nine of whom died in house-fires set by the (now deceased) perpetrator.
Yet, nothing in this new government decree would have prevented this shooting spree!
The perpetrator in this case was not licensed to own firearms, and the firearms he used were all obtainedillegally, including one handgun he stole from a murdered RCMP Trooper.
So, all of Canada’s current stringent gun regulations obviously did nothing to prevent this violent crime!
As in America, every unlawful act get blamed on law-abiding gun-owners, who have made no crime, and who are doing their best to comply with impossibly voluminous, confusing, poorly-written, ever-changing, arbitrary, ineffectual, and selectively-enforced regulations.
As leftist politicians always do, they insist they’re addressing the issue of violent crime by punishing everyone who hasn’t committed a crime!
And their “dirty little secret” is that none of these regulations ever apply to them!
Leftists think there can’t be any good people, because they know and sincerely believe that they are not good people, and they’re right!
