“The search for a scapegoat is the easiest of all hunting expeditions.”

Eisenhower

Mexico’s foreign minister said in a recent interview that America, “must reinstate the ban on assault weapons; that would become the backbone of the strategy to reduce the flow of contraband weapons into Mexico that has allowed Mexican criminal organizations to thrive.”

Oh, please!

Mexico is blaming us for its own failings?

They may as well blame the ladder for their dissension into the pit!

Honest American gun-owners are somehow responsible for our southern neighbor’s mutually-profitable relationship with drug cartels?

Curious that the foreign minister didn’t mention the “flow of illegal drugs” into the USA from Mexico, nor the resultant “flow of American cash into Mexico,” most of it going to cartels, with certain “government officials,” of course, getting generously paid-off!

Mexico enjoys the well-deserved status of a classic “thugocracy,” a failed, crime-ridden narco-state, and for its foreign minister to presume to lecture America with such arrogant condescension for supposedly causing Mexico’s cartels to flourish is laughable. Mexico is, by choice, an utterly corrupt, violence-wracked, third-world shit-hole.

Travel there, for any reason, is highly not recommended!

And, it is not hard to understand why a Mexican government spokesman, wanting to keep his cushy government job, is anxious for honest citizens to be made defenseless against violent cartel thugs, here in America, just as they are in Mexico!

“Folly is a more dangerous enemy to the good than evil. One can protest against evil; it can be unmasked and, if need be, prevented by force.

Evil always carries the seeds of its own destruction, as it makes people, at the least, uncomfortable.

Against folly we have no defense.”
