Chaos!
Last Tuesday evening, in the LA suburb of Bellflower, a “flashmob,” in combination with a “street takeover,” provided convenient cover for a well-planned mass burglary of several local businesses.
Once traffic was thoroughly snarled, a gang (more than forty) of masked and hooded VCAs used a disc-grinder to defeat several substantial locks and enter a local liquor store and several other local businesses. They, at their leisure, then destroyed the interior of the businesses and looted everything of value.
Damage and losses were catastrophic!
Police were dispatched but couldn’t get through the manufactured traffic jam. By the time they arrived at the scene, damage was complete, and perpetrators were all gone!
This entire event was obviously well-planned and well coordinated. VCAs brought ample burglar’s tools, including a disc-grinder, as noted above.
“Street takeovers” and “flashmobs” are nothing new, of course. But, the two are now being combined in order to give organized gangs of VCAs plenty of time and cover to break-into buildings, complete their looting and destruction, and then successfully escape. And as we see, VCAs come well-prepared!
Of course, these burglarized and looted businesses all had substantial locks and security systems, including cameras. None of it protected them in the least! When order cannot be restored, sometimes for hours, all that sophisticated security apparatus is just so much “vaporware,” as we see.
With this new tactic demonstrating itself to be absolutely successful, with scant risk of anyone ever being arrested, we’ll soon see it executed in upscale suburban residential neighborhoods, with peoples’ occupied homes being similarly broken-into, ransacked, and looted, residents injured/murdered, all while police are kept away.
Why not?
What’s to stop them?
