The 2025 SHOT Show is now officially over, and we’ll be headed back to CO tomorrow.
Today, I visited friends at the DSA booth. DSA makes (in America) the FAL, which they call their SA58, and have for decades.
DSA’s production quality is unmatched, and they showed me today their faithful reproduction of the “T48,” the rifle that lost-out to the “T44” (which was later redesignated the “M14”) in the early 1950s
The reproduction T48 is beautiful indeed. However, the one you want for serious purposes is the SA58, or the SA58 Pistol w/folding arm brace. The later makes a wonderful “car gun”
Most venders I talked with told me that this was the most encouraging and profitable SHOT Show they’ve attended in a decade or more.
The recent national election profoundly lifted the mood of everyone!
It is nearly impossible to get through to entire Show in four days, as we run into so many confederates, participate in interviews and meetings, and break bread with old friends.
And, this year’s Show was the biggest yet. I’m not sure there is any other venue that could adequately host it.
The facility (Venetian Expo, combined with Caesar’s Forum) is well set-up with plenty of restrooms, meeting rooms, food services, security. Staffing was more than adequate. LVPD did a stellar job managing traffic. Many upscale hotels and restaurants within walking distance make attending convenient. No “incidents” that I’m aware of.
It’s exhausting, but we love attending this event!
