Follow up on my last from a friend in the Philippines:
Yup, I agree that the 223 is the solution to the problem of armored suspects. This is why cops in my part of the world are issued M16’s in place of shotguns or anything else. They also travel three to a car, with one rifle per car, sometimes two or even three. Some response units are even known to pack M14’s when the call out is made on a bank robbery. Even in densely-populated Jerusalem, you don’t find police patrolling with anything less then Galil’s or M16’s. In actual use here hardball ammo coupled with the standard, 1:12 twist has proven extremely effective. Few people survive good hits with it. They go right down!
