“Who gave you a body, furnished it with weakness. But, who gave you a soul armed you with resolution. Employ it, and you are wise”
Akhenaton
It’s now come to light that CO’s Parks & Wildlife Dept actually did receive a number of complaints/reports regarding aggressive mountain lions from the same area where a female hiker was recently attacked and killed. Citizens duly reported their numerous “close encounters” to P&W
After the fatal attack, P&W tracked-down and “euthanized” (the politically-correct term for “shot to death”) two mountain lions and are testing them for “neurological problems,” “rabies,” etc.
Curious the way professing “wildlife biologists” along with P&W “officials,” just can’t imagine that perfectly normal and healthy apex predators (black bears, mountain lions) will happily stalk, attack, kill, and eat humans.
The fact is, wild animals don’t stalk and kill because they’re “crazy.” They’re just “doing their thing,” as they’ve done for eons!
“Officials” continue to insist that attacks on humans by apex predators are “extremely rare”
Maybe so, but they weren’t “rare” as far as that (now deceased) woman is concerned, are they?
Antiseptic advice like “yell and throw rocks,” “make yourself appear large,” “curl-up in a ball,” is all we’ll ever get from state bureaucrats, and the liberal media. They obviously have their agenda.
Accordingly, we’ll never hear them say, “When hiking on wilderness trails, you better go armed!” even though that is the one piece of advice that is most likely to preserve your good health.
When in the wilderness, you’re on your own. You won’t be “rescued in the nick of time,” no matter what you’ve been told.
Welcome to Planet Earth!
