“‘Evil’ is a make-believe concept we’ve invented to deal with the complexities of fellow humans”
Liberal Mantra
Who believe that, (1) don’t “get out” much, and (2) needn’t imagine they’ll die of old age!
Those of us who have seen evil, at close range, know how “real” it is, and we’re all too familiar with they way it turns men into monsters!
We also know and understand that evil must be bravely confronted, and that evil men must be challenged and constrained.
Good and righteous men behave according to an absolute and unchanging moral standard. What’s right is right, and what’s wrong is wrong. The difference between good and evil and between right and wrong are givens, not “topics,” subject to rationalization nor justification, and a man should know the difference.
Good men do, and good men are always be prepared to act!
Unfortunately, the liberal mind is invariably ambivalent in the face of evil. Liberals cannot bring themselves to confront evil honestly, because personal vanity makes it impossible for them to recognize their own defects. So, they predictably falter, blame others, make excuses for themselves, and whine, but never take personal responsibility, never lead, never prepare, never fight.
And, vanity makes them insist that no one be allowed to resist evil in any effective way.
“No greater wrong can ever be done than to put a good man at the mercy of a bad man, while insisting the good man not defend himself, nor his fellows. In no other way can the success of evil be made surer, nor quicker.”
TR
Evil men may not be dissuaded from their malevolent deeds by reasoned argument, but they can be “corrected” by good men, who are armed, competent, and audacious!
“It is not our part to master the tides, but to do what is in us, during those years wherein we are set, to uproot evil in the fields, so those who come after may have clean earth to till.
What weather shall greet them while so doing is not ours to influence, nor even know!”
