Yesterday’s strike on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure:
Details are still far from complete, but it is safe to say that America’s amazing precision strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities was, by any standard, a spectacular success!
No losses on our side.
Clearly, the ball is now in Iran’s court, and their “response,” assuming there is one (or more), can take any number of forms, including orchestrated domestic terrorism.
Accordingly, the whole world is simultaneously on-edge, while breathing a sigh of relief!
For at least the next few days, prudence advises:
1) Stay close to home. Gas-tank(s) topped-off. Pantry well-stocked.
2) Communicate with family/friends. Know where they are. Check on them regularly.
3) Confine travel to short trips and only when necessary
4) Stay informed and up-to-date. Keep TV/radio news on, all the time. Have your cell-phone (always fully-charged) with you.
5) Be personally armed, continuously, even when at home. Heavy weapons nearby and handy.
With any luck, Iran will (belatedly) decide to negotiate, but that is unlikely!
Further military action, on a number of fronts and by multiple actors, is probable.
Very “fluid” right now.
This isn’t “over!”
