DJT’s Agenda:
Since DJT is doing such a wonderful job of shaking-up our hopelessly ossified/bloated Federal System, including our military services (aka: “The Swamp”), here is yet another “radical” suggestion:
Many times, I’ve editorialized against the weak, diffident, mistrustful philosophy that virtually defines our current “unarmed” Services.
With DJT now in office, we have a window of opportunity to officially endow our military Officers and NCOs with the very “good faith and confidence” to which we now give only hollow lip-service.
All our military Officers and NCOs should routinely “go armed,” (concealed pistols) all the time, on and off base.
Authority to do so will be Federal and thus supercede all local and state laws and regulations.
Of course, this will require compulsory training, since military personal, regardless of rank, currently have scant idea of what do with a pistol (the unhappy case for the last one hundred years)!
Discreet, professional concealed carry is an art that requires specific equipment, training, and philosophical grounding, and needs to be taught by experienced instructors who themselves do it routinely. Specific knowledge of how all this fits-in to our criminal-justice system, indeed the entire “concealed-carry lifestyle,” including guns in the home, is also essential, since these Officers and NCOs will be armed all the time, no matter where they go.
Like our now well-established “Armed Commercial Pilot Program,” this new imperative will be vehemently opposed, indeed sabotaged, at every turn by timid leftists, both in and out of our military, who are deathly afraid of guns and armed patriots. And, they’ll endlessly, loudly clamor that this can never work.
They always do, just as they did in 1776!
Yet, this needs to be!
And, now is the moment it needs the go-ahead from DJT!
There are hundreds among my capable and experienced colleagues who will be delighted to donate their time and expertise in an effort to make this history-making change successful.
We need to get this on DJT’s Agenda!
“‘Impossible’ is a word that should be conspicuously absent from your vocabulary, Sir!”
My reply to a Marine Colonel who used that word as he expressed fear of the “hot range” I was running with his troopers at Camp Pendleton, CA several years ago.
