“It’s a beautiful thing, the destruction of words”

George Orwell, from “1984″

Election-season lexicon:

During this election season, it’s important that we get our terms straight.

Examples:

1) “Racism” is good, so long as it’s “the right racism”

2) “Assault weapons” are good, so long as only “the ruling elite” have them

3) “Violent crime” is good, so long as only kulaks, and denizens of the “wrong religions” (Christians, Jews), are harmed and see their property destroyed.

4) “Illegal immigration” is good, so long as illegal immigrants vote (illegally) for Democrats

5) “Voter fraud” is good, so long as fraudulent votes go in the Democrat column

6) “Anti-Semitism” is good, so long as it entices radical Islamics to support Democrats, violently

7) “Inflation” is good, so long as it prevents kulaks (who vote for non-Democrats) from prospering

8) “Poverty” is good, so long as the impoverished are prevented from prospering, and thus continue to foolishly believe they need socialism.  Yes, Democrats “love the poor,” but only so long as they voluntarily remain poor!

9) “Weaponization of government agencies” is good, so long as agenda-driven bureaucrats harm only kulaks and other hated capitalists

10) Democrats profess to “promote freedom,” but,

>Not the freedom to own a gun

>Not the freedom to shield your guns from arbitrary government confiscation (despite the fact that you’ve never been charged with any crime)

> Not freedom from “the-knock-on-your-door-in-the-middle-of-the-night”

>Not the freedom to keep even half what you earn

>Not the freedom to say unflattering things about Democrat politicians (lest they arbitrarily put your name on the mysterious “Terror Watch List,” maybe the equally-mysterious “No-Fly List”)

>Not the freedom to be associated with “the wrong religion”

>Not the freedom to refuse “medication” that Democrats insist you take (lest you discover you’ve lost your job, due to “illegal drug evasion”)

>Not the freedom to produce, without being grudgingly granted “permission” from those who produce nothing!

>Not the freedom to prevent your children and grandchildren from being born into virtual slavery, due to our unrepayable (and growing) national debt

For Democrats, Orwell’s “1984″ is not fiction.

It’s “their play-book!”

Listen to them!
