This from a friend in the Philippines:
“If you haven’t had the chance to see or handle a Vektor SP1, you might want to ask one of your South African friends for information. The police in my country subjected it to a torture test of 25,000 rounds,and it held up well. BTW, the recent Army Service Rifle Trials were concluded, and the results were interesting. The AUG failed the test,with major assembly breakage at 6,000 rounds. Curiously, the Daewoo K2 rifle survived unscathed. As usual, after all was said and done, the Army decided on the M16A2, for obvious political reasons.”
