As in all civilizations, we have violent criminals here.
A consuming interest as to “why” some commit violent, evil acts has become a profitable business for certain groups.
Who profit from criminal violence include:
1) “True crime” podcasters and commentators, who cater to an element of our society who love the ghoulishness and novelty of violence and mayhem. These voyeurs ever portray criminals as “an unstoppable force in nature,” as they focus on terror and gore, ever ignoring the subject of effective resistance.
2) “Researchers” and “crime experts,” who get plenty of government money for their endless, and endlessly inconclusive, “studies.”
3) Bureaucracies, who take our tax dollars (and our freedom) as they relentlessly grow their agencies, and justify their existence by regularly showering us with ever-new edicts, decrees, and regulations, as they simultaneously shower themselves with all manner of special privileges, and arrange it so that they themselves are not obligated to obey any of the very rules they impose upon the rest of us.
4) Legacy media, who consistently tap-into “researchers,” “crime experts,” and members of the bureaucratic elite, who all predictably regurgitate identical talking-points:
>You’re too stupid to own a gun!
>Violent criminals are an unstoppable force. Resistance is futile! A mere private citizen (unwashed and unworthy) can’t hope to effectively resist, can’t ever use a gun effectively, can never learn how, and will probably just hurt themselves. Self-defense is a myth! Accordingly, mere citizens should never fight back, and never own guns.
>Only politicians and bureaucrats have a genuine right to protect themselves, so they “need” all those special privileges, including tax-payer-funded bodyguards, who are bristling with deadly defensive weapons that mere citizens can’t legally acquire, nor possess
To justify these talking-points, liberal commentators claim violent crime actually went down under the JRB Administration.
Sure it did, when you cook the books, which is exactly what has been going-on in Washington DC and other Democrat-controlled metro areas.
In conclusion, high and increasing rates of violent crime represent “good business,” and a good living, for more than a few leftists, so violent criminals, who do leftists’ work for them, will ever be defended, coddled, apologized for, and protected from incarceration.
Don’t look for any improvement so long as Democrats thus benefit, and stay in charge, supported by the leftist media.
But, don’t worry. You can rest assured, they’ve made sure they’re all well protected!
