“We’ve ‘normalized’ the inconceivable”
Nicole Gelinas
In Oakland, CA an “In-N-Out Burger” fast-food restaurant recently closed its doors, for good.
Reason for this abrupt closure is rampant violent crime, combined with poor/indifferent police response.
Curious that this restaurant was closed in spite of the fact that it was consistently profitable!
Yet, upper-level corporate decided to close the establishment anyway, because the environment was so dangerous, for customers and employees alike, that personal safety had dipped below the “tolerable” level.
Late last year, REI announced closure of none other than it’s “flagship store” in Portland, OR, for exactly the same reasons.
Both of these otherwise profitable businesses have something in common that frightens upper management so badly that they are willing to endure financial loss, rather than keep them open.
What scares them, of course, is a multiple-murder taking place within their places of business, that subsequently erupts into national headlines!
Violent lawlessness is so bad in CA, OR, and WA (not to mention NY, NJ, MA, CT, IL) that corporate types have obviously decided it makes more sense just to abruptly pull-out of an area, than to nervously wait around for the inevitable high-profile violent calamity to occur.
Despite endless boiler-plate drivel to the contrary, most corporate executives (like most citizens of cities and states where politics are dominated by pro-criminal leftists) know and understand that when you have confidence in demoralized and de-funded police departments, your faith will likely be rewarded with a ride to the morgue in a body-bag, just as an innocent woman riding in NYC’s subway system recently/unhappily experienced (despite highly-touted “beefed-up security”).
The arrogantly-promised “socialist utopia” in our leftist-dominated states and cities has conspicuously failed so miserably, so utterly, so uninterruptedly that one can only wonder why its sleazy, Soros-sponsored instigators have never repented of their sanguinary folly, and even now cynically insist they’re perfect and incapable or error.
The answer is, of course:
They like it this way!
Why not?
Unlike the rest of us, they enjoy 24/7 personal protection provided by a heavily-armed, taxpayer-funded army of bodyguards.
They don’t want to see anything ever change, much less improve, which is why they’re so malicious toward, and frightened of, the incoming Administration.
They just might lose their cushy jobs/perks, which is all they ever cared about!
