“Never trust an ‘easy answer,’ because easy answers make you stop asking questions. The most dangerous kind of ‘being wrong’ is not simple ignorance. It is ‘confident ignorance, ‘arrogant ignorance,’ the kind where you stop asking, because you think you ‘already know.’ The settled, comfortable confidence, that smug ‘… and it’s only common sense,’ will inevitably lead you straight off a cliff!”
Richard Feynman
Even now, many liberals are piously defending the current Iranian regime, or apathy at its continued existence.
The ever-craven left’s focus on “imminence” is insane, and extremely dangerous!
Under cross-examination, I’ve been asked by naive attorneys (who have never participated in anything more violent than genteel arguments within a university faculty lounge) , “Yes, but was the gun actually pointed directly at the defendant?”
I reply, “When you wait until the gun is pointed directly at you, you’ve waited too long! You’ve left yourself no options. You’ve painted yourself into a corner. You’ve self-deceitfully put yourself in a position where successful self-defense in impossible.”
Yet without fail, cowering liberals will always bring us “Peace in our time!”
“When you will not fight when you can easily win, without bloodshed, and when you still will not fight when victory is sure and not too costly, you may well come to the moment when you will have no choice but to fight with the odds against you, and you have only a small chance of survival. There may even be a worse case: you may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, simply because it is better to perish as warriors than to live as slaves.”
Winston Churchill
