Remembrance of “The London Blitz,” 1940-1941
This just in from friends in Israel:
“We have a revised warning system now that sends alerts via our Smart Phones.
Our IDF can ‘see’ incoming missiles even as they’re being launched, and they know exactly how long it takes for them to arrive here!
The vast majority are intercepted, but not all!
We hear loud “booms” when interceptions are successful.
There is an Iron Dome Battery not far from where we live. Two interceptor missiles were fired this evening just before we got out of our apartment and into our bomb shelter.
Our entire apartment building shook as in an earthquake!
Not a physical feeling I want to repeat!
Yet, we expect more of the same tonight.
Keep the faith and stay safe.”
