This is from a good friend who does a lot of work with Glocks:
“…I EMPHATICALLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THAT ANYONE “SLIGHTLY ROUND THE TOP LOCKING LUG” on the Glock pistol. Everyone’s idea of what “slightly” means is different, and the “basement gunsmith” may be courting disaster here.
When kept minimally clean and lubricated and used with decent ammunition, these pistols go into battery with boring reliability.
The likely causes of the gun failing to go into battery are:
(1) Poor ammunition, underpowered, or oversized
(2) Dry or dirty pistol, especially dirty chamber
(3) Worn out recoil spring
(4) Limp wristing”
Pretty much the same as with any other pistol!
