“‘Fascism’ may be defined as political behavior marked by a maniacal preoccupation with community decline, humiliation, and victimhood and by compensatory cults of unity, revenge, and ‘purity’ in which a mass-based party of committed militants, working in uneasy but effective collaboration with traditional elites, abandon democratic liberties and pursue with redemptive violence, and without ethical nor legal restraint, goals of internal ‘cleansing.’”
Robert Paxton, 1969
“Fascism” From the Italian, “fascismo,” from the Latin “fascis” which loosely translates to “a bundle of sticks,” was a ancient Roman symbol for “strength through unity.”
Benito Mussolini appropriated the term into his un-apologetically murderous “National Fascist Party” in chaotic post-War Italy in 1921. The Party universally adopted black uniforms and were known as “Blackshirts.” By 1927, Mussolini and his Blackshirts had murdered their way into absolute power in Italy. Mussolini became dictator!
Blackshirts openly displayed weapons (pistols, rifles) and used them liberally to intimidate and often murder political opponents, and assorted other “undesirables.” These same weapons were, of course, absolutely prohibited from possession by “non-party members,” who were thus unable to defend themselves, nor oppose Blackshirts in any effective way.
These “lessons” from Mussolini and his Blackshirts, and their meteoric rise to national supremacy in post-WWI Italy, via abject terrorism and murder, violently enforcing fanaticism while quiescently enriching themselves, was not lost on Adolph Hitler in Germany, Hideki Tojo in Japan, Joe Stalin in Russia, Mao Zedong in China, nor Ho Chi Minh in Indochina, nor for that matter their modern-day ascendants among today’s ubiquitous crypto-Communists!
Far from the “visionary idealists” that they oh-so piously profess themselves to be, history has exposed them as bloodthirsty criminals, and nothing more!
“A secret, disciplined cadre (‘Council of Peoples’ Commissars’), unaccountable to anyone, who control the entire general population, via ‘secret police’ and abject terror”
Stated goal of the radial “Maximumalists” (Bolsheviks) in Petrograd, Russia, 1917
