Political “Bait-and-Switch!”

It is common strategy for frowsy, leftist politicians (is there another kind?) first to cynically manufacture a “problem,” and subsequently to propose to “save us” from this terrible dilemma (that they created), inevitably with a “solution” that, without fail, involves (1) squandering the public treasury while (2) simultaneously invalidating our individual liberty and freedom.

They love to use fraudulent terms like “common sense” and “the-‘right’-thing-to-do” in order to masquerade their malignant strategy.

Their real, and only, goal is the seizure and consolidation of power with the intent of establishing a intransigent political dynasty so smothering and self-perpetrating that even a majority of the people can never unseat them. Leftists are all alike. Always have been!

A diagnostic example is the current administration’s absolute refusal to enforce immigration laws, making a cruel joke of our southern “border,” so that “undocumented voters” can flow into the USA, unimpeded. To the surprise of no one, on the backs of many of these “potential Democrat supporters” are loads of heroin and other illegal drugs. A virtual pipeline, unhindered in any significant way.

Again, to no one’s surprise, Democrats, like Senator Schumer, are now proposing (with a straight face) a “whole new program” to “fight” the “epidemic” of heroin in his political district. His proposal (you’d never guess!) involves more tax dollars to be extracted from the beleaguered and diminishing minority of Americans who are actually productive, and less freedom for us all.

And, it is all so sickeningly “common sense,” “… for the children,” ad nauseam!

Likewise, recently-passed and newly-proposed “gun-control” legislation is cynically, and deliberately, designed to weaken good and honest citizens while simultaneously empowering violent criminals to carry out their mayhem upon non-supporters of the administration, with scant inconvenience. Example: lots of new “gun-free zones” (more correctly: “criminal empowerment zones”) and insistence that we all be “good victims.”

In the wake of last week’s shooting in CA, leftists there are now actually proposing “gun-violence retraining orders,” where virtually anyone can casually veto anyone else’s Second Amendment rights by capriciously speculating, in the absence of any evidence, that he is “unstable.”

Such “enforcement measures,” while coddling real criminals, permit, indeed encourage, criminal and civil and harassment of honest gun owners who don’t commit crimes, but who also don’t vote for leftists.

Resolve of citizens towards personal responsibility is thus fatally poisoned. This gives leftist con-artists an open door to sell a weakened, dependant, and fearful populace on a whole new generation of “common sense safety measures,” … like gulags for political opponents!
