“Acute!”

Last Thursday, a lovely, innocent eighteen-year-old Loyola University freshman was murdered near her campus in Chicago. She and friends had gone to a nearby beach hoping to see northern lights.

One of Chicago’s precious and protected “sanctuary city” illegal aliens precipitously shot and killed this young woman in what is being called by police “a random and unprovoked murder.”

This illegal-alien suspect is also reported to be infected with TB

So, un-vetted, violent, illegal-alien criminals, welcomed into our nation by the JRB Administration (and continuously sheltered/defended by Democrat mayors and governors, all for the sake of illegal votes), came here infected with deadly diseases that Democrats obviously also didn’t, and don’t, care about.

For most of my lifetime, we operated on the notion that our surroundings were “generally dangerous.”  In fact, Jeff Cooper helped us all to understand this reality via his famous “Color Code.”

Carrying a five-shot snubby was considered by most to be “reasonably armed” in most places.  Many cops adhered to this pattern.  A few still do, but the number is dwindling!

I’m suggesting that as a civilization we’ve now been “upgraded” to  an environment of “acute danger,” and it’s happened at an accelerating pace within the last decade or two.  We can thank neo-Marxist politicians, bureaucrats, educators (Democrats) for open borders, de-funding police, soft prosecution, emptying prisons, etc.  We can also add foreign terrorist operatives and sympathizers to that list.

Thus, all of us need to carefully reconsider what it means to be “well-armed,” or even “adequately/reasonably armed.”  The sage are now carrying (concealed) powerful, high-capacity pistols, high-performance ammunition, back-up gun, extra magazines, blades, flashlights, etc.  Rifle/shotgun out of sight, but always close-by.

The foregoing will strike the naive as neither “fair,” nor “nice,” but the truth of it smacks us in the face!

Our lives are in our own hands.  Indifferent  politicians, courts, bureaucrats will never protect us, as we see.
