Update from Jerusalem, from friends living there:
“A few hours ago, terrorists in Yemen fired their 44th (since the ‘Ceasefire’s’ implementation) ballistic missile at Israel.
When this happens, Home Front Command sends a special ‘beep’ to our phones. When there is no ‘stand-down notice’ within within 2-3 minutes, sirens will sound. Then, you rush to your building’s bomb shelter (old buildings), or to your ‘safe room’ (new construction).
Today’s missile was knocked-down before endangering us. However, IDF still advises everyone to remain in their ‘safe location’ for at least ten minutes. After interception, missile and interceptor fragments (some lethally large) rain-down over large areas!
Our car’s gas-tank is always full, and the vehicle itself is stocked with sleeping-bags, food, water, warm clothing, toiletries, shovel, jumper-cables, rain-gear, tool-kit, flashlights, light-sticks, trauma-kits, toilet-paper, transistor radio, medications. We also keep a shopping-cart stocked with additional items (including my favorite cocktail: Russian Vodka and Diet-Coke) ready to be wheeled-out to our car in a single trip.
Finally, I have prepared a ‘grab-and-go bag’ containing passports, other critical papers/records, cash, pistol (SIG 226), and ammunition. The foregoing all used to be locked in a safe, but there will be no time to retrieve it when quickly evacuating the area!
The Jerusalem Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals was just informed that a British philanthropy organization, after generously patronizing the JSPCA for more than a decade, will no longer be doing so.
‘Our granddaughters do not want to support Israel.’
As we see, anti-Jewish sentiment and violence are rapidly escalating worldwide, open and notorious.
We’re surely grateful for the friends we still have, but ‘The List’ is shrinking!”
