This year’s TacCon just concluded. Over four hundred attendees, dozens of simultaneous classes and presentations (lecture, empty-hand, live-fire).
My friend and colleague, Tom Givens and his Crew annually put this all together at the expansive Dallas. TX Pistol Club Range Club Complex.
Mas Ayoob brought us all up to date on cases in which he has been, and currently is, involved. Additional celebrated instructors, Claude Werner, Jeff Gonzales, Chuck Haggard, Lou Ann Hamblin, Jon and Sarah Hauptman, John Hearne, Tiffany Johnson, Tim Kelly, Ed Monk, Steve Moses, Karl Rehn, Tatiana Whitlock, Cecil Burch, Wayne Dobbs, Tom Givens, and others, including me.
We’re all close friends, and this annual three-day event represents an opportunity for us all to learn from each other, teach, and compare notes.
While there, I do my best to attend all classes (which is impossible) and spend time in the lobby of our host hotel with my friends, students, and colleagues, freely exchanging notes and views.
This is the place where fantasy is removed from practice, where myth is swept aside, where the leading edge of our Art genuinely advances!
