2026 SHOT Show, Third Day
Lots of walking and talking today!
Of interest:
The Savage Stance pistol (9mm) comes only with ten-round magazines, so all Stances are eleven-shooters, even though additional rounds are accommodated by other pistols of the same size.
PSA’s Dagger pistol is basically a G19, except that it features a jointed trigger, rather than a tabbed trigger. It enjoys a good reputation, and at $360.00/copy, it represents a pretty good deal!
S&W’s light-weight (aluminum-framed) shrouded-hammer snubby 38Spl revolver (five-shot), the 642, now proudly boasts it has no “internal lock.” Highly-touted, Democrat engendered “internal locks” are now gone, at least at S&W. The 642 is $680.00/copy
At the Colt/CZ booth, the Detective Special, Colt’s traditional six-shot snubby revolver was not on display. I was told it is out of production!
Ruger’s five-shot LCR 38Spl snubby revolver makes a good choice at $550.00/copy
M+M, a CO company making the folding-stock MX10 autoloading rifle, only in 7.62×39 Soviet, is now bringing it out in 5,56×45 (223). The MX10 has a gas regulator and runs $2k/copy. Like most self-respecting manufacturers, they’re moving, in disgust, out of Democrat-controlled CO!
At the SIG booth, pistols were on display, but the vast majority were 365s. Only two 320s were on the table.
Among ammunition manufacturers, I visited friends at Cor-Bon, Underwood, and Hop (a newcomer in the industry).
Cor-Bon is still making 9mm DPX, Powerball. Underwood’s specialty is the 9mm all-copper Extreme Defender, featuring the all-copper FTM bullet. Hop makes a practice round (9mm) with a polymer jacket.
We looked at Aimpoint, Holosun, and Gideon optics. Closed emitters are always a better choice than open emitters.
The Show is huge, and there is still more to see!
Tomorrow is the last day!
