“Americans are so enamored of ‘equality,’ that they would rather be equal in slavery than unequal in freedom!”

Tocqueville

“If all Americans want is ‘security,’ they can go to prison. They’ll have enough to eat, a bed, and a roof over their heads. But, when an American wants to preserve his dignity and his equality as a human being, he must not bow his neck to any dictatorial government.”

Eisenhower

“I just want to be ‘safe!’”

From the lips of naive students, we hear such depressing, adolescent pleas for the myth of “safety” now and then. It is not surprising, as this shallow, handout-expecting, uninspiring, excuse-making bleat is now imposed upon every innocent American child, from his/her first day in our public school system.

The audacious notion of gallantly taking personal responsibility for one’s own security, indeed one’s own destiny, is unthinkable to liberals, who currently dominate and control the system. They prefer “slave mentality,” and they actively promote it, indeed insist on it, at all levels of government.

Summarized by:

“We pretend to work, while the government pretends to ‘take-care’ of us”

Not unexpectedly, as we see by recent events overseas, American citizens, even government officials, are considered altogether expendable by arrogant liberals, even at the highest levels. Because, since we’ll all looked upon as slaves anyway, we’ve become just another dreary commodity, like beans!

The idea of the sovereign individual, magnificent and irreplaceable, each capable of great individual accomplishment (when government gets out of the way), is unimaginable to liberals. In order to be “good slaves,” we are required to think of ourselves as ever-incapable, uninspired, untrustworthy, and permanently dependant. We need to be treated, by government, like the unworthy criminals they suspect us all of being.

One only has to go to an airport to experience this!

Scientific advancement, economic self-determination, capitalism, and all manifestations of economic progress are now denigrated as examples of personal selfishness. We’re told that Socialism (Communism) and enslavement are the only solutions to our great “national sin” of individual freedom. Even self-degradation, expressed via personal filth, is now in style!

“Slave,” by any definition, is all many Americans currently are. And, if they’re not careful, that is all they’re ever going to be!

As a nation, we are back-sliding in the direction of the same arrogant, arbitrary totalitarianism our courageous ancestors came to this continent to get away from, all as liberals insist they’re “doing it for our own good!”

“Who can make two ears of corn grow upon a spot of ground where only one grows now will do more service to his country than the whole race of politicians put together”

Swift

“I prefer dangerous liberty to peaceful slavery.”

Jefferson
