Self-defense, soon to be illegal in South Africa.
The latest “Firearms Control Amendment Bill,” in SA, about to become law, essentially eliminates the private ownership of pistols, and most other guns.
The bill reads:
“The Registrar must be satisfied that the applicant has a ‘valid reason’ for possessing a firearm”
Loosely translated into plain English:
“We, our supporters, and contributors get to have guns, since we’ll always have a ‘valid reason.’ Political opponents, and everyone else, will mysteriously never be able to come up with one.”
In “may issue” parts of the USA today (like NYC), this is pretty much the way it is now. What is supposed to be an “inalienable right,” has been converted (by liberals) into a ‘political privilege,’ enjoyed only by them and their friends!
Liberals have always wanted to expand NYC’s scandal-ridden “system” to encompass the entire nation.
It gets better:
“An applicant does not have a ‘valid reason’ when the applicant intends to possess the firearm for self-defense”
Again, loosely translated:
“When we send out our gangs of armed thugs to murder you and steal your property, because you dared to speak unkindly of us, we don’t want any of them getting hurt!”
The foregoing new “rules” are to go into effect in a nation where the rate of violent crime, always bad, is currently spiraling out of control. So, it is no surprise that SA citizens arm themselves in any way they can!
ANC Marxists find this “upsetting.”
Yet, in the same breath, they sheepishly admit there is little the government can do to protect citizens from violent criminals.
When this legislation goes into effect, violent crime will explode!
Marxists currently in control know it, and fully expect it. In fact, that is exactly what they want!
The nation subsequently descends into chaos and ecumenical squalor, as their defenseless political opponents are all easily disenfranchised, impoverished, and murdered.
That’s the way Marxists (AKA “socialists,” “liberals,” “progressive”) unfailingly do business!
Criminal violence is an unapologetic tool of leftists. Always has been and as we see, they prefer disarmed victims!
