DTI Trauma Kits

When we conduct a TTGSW (Tactical Treatment of Gunshot Wounds) Course, each student is issued a copy of the DTI Trauma Kit as part of the instruction. During the Course, we go through, and exercise, each component.

Several years ago, at an ILEETA Conference, Persys Medical of Houston, TX asked to me evaluate the trauma kits they were currently marketing. I indicated I didn’t like any of them, so I was politely invited to design my own!

With sage guidance from Doc Gunn and a number of other renowned physicians, I ultimately designed what is now called the DTI Trauma Kit.

It is designed for penetrating wounds. There is nothing in it for drownings, snake-bites, nor electrocutions. In it, you won’t find Advil, Calamine lotion, Bandaids, nor Rollaids. That stuff is deliberately left out, as I don’t want people getting into the Kit for trivial reasons.

What you will find in our Kit is IBDs, a tourniquet, Haloseal, a 14ga angiocath, a nasal airway, et al- everything necessary to:

(1) Prevent needless deaths
(2) Keep the patient conscious, active, and able to pull triggers

This is not hospital medicine. This is battlefield medicine!

The DTI Trauma Kit is compact, well-organized, and designed for field use.

There are similar products available, and most are very acceptable. The DTI Trauma Kit represents what I consider the best package for the task at hand.

DTI Trauma Kits, and individual components, are now available from:

If you’re wondering, I receive no commission from the sale of this Kit. R&R is kind enough to extend to me a slight discount when I order DTI Trauma Kits in bulk for my Classes.

Knowing what do with/about bullet wounds is a critical component of the body of knowledge required of every competent Operator.

You need to know exactly what to do, and be appropriately equipped to do it!

The best thing to do is to come to one of our TTGSW Courses.. and learn all about it!
